I teach IB History with a focus on getting students to write sharper, more evidence-led essays. Most of my work is with Paper 2 and the IA, especially helping students move from narrative answers to proper argument. I’ve also marked mock exams for IB classes, so I’m fairly direct about what examiners are looking for. Cold War and authoritarian states are my usual favourite areas to teach. I keep feedback short and written in exam language.

Hi, I’m an IB History tutor and I tend to work best with students who know the content but struggle to turn it into a strong essay. I spend a lot of time on thesis writing, source evaluation and using historiography without forcing it in. I’ve tutored both HL and SL students, including plenty of last-minute Paper 1 revision. I’m especially interested in 20th-century wars and decolonisation. My approach is calm, structured and honest.
